Where Butterflies Go – out now

Today, “Where Butterflies Go” is released as the first single from my upcoming album “Memories,” created under my music project The AudioCanvas Project.

This song holds a very special place within the album. I wrote it for my sister Vanessa, whose passing marks its eleventh anniversary today. Butterflies have long been closely connected to my memories of her, so this time I wanted to create something deeply personal — a song about missing someone, but also about love, remembrance, and the many ways a person can continue to stay with us.

“Where Butterflies Go” is also the only song on “Memories” that is carried by a vocal performance. The rest of the album is predominantly instrumental, telling its stories through piano, warm atmospheric layers, and small musical details.

With “Memories,” I look back on some of the most beautiful and meaningful memories from my childhood and youth: the people who shaped me, the places that still live on in me, and those small moments that once seemed ordinary — only to reveal, many years later, just how precious they truly were.

Each track is connected to a specific memory. Some are about family and a sense of safety, others about childhood days, journeys, first love, or those quiet little moments that somehow stay with us for a lifetime.

“Where Butterflies Go” now opens this collection of memories with one of its most personal chapters.

For Vanessa.
Always remembered. 🦋

“Memories,” the upcoming album by The AudioCanvas Project, will be released on November 26, 2026 — my birthday.
